In the USA, snus has been seen as a better alternative to vaping and smoking, however, the US-manufactured snus is not as high quality as those from Sweden. It has to be noted that the snus product contains nicotine which is regarded as highly addictive. Skruf is a manufacturer of snus.
The Skruf company
The Skruf Snus AB company was formed in Sweden in 2003. The company name originates from a small area in Småland where the snus tobacco derivative was first made, called Skruf. Today, Skruf is the second-largest snus manufacturer in Sweden and boasts a snus market share of 20% in Sweden and 45% in the country of Norway. Skruf has various snus brands such as Knox, Skruf, and Smålands Brukssnus. The brand Screws, specifically for the Norwegian market, was launched in 2004. The Skruf company was acquired by the British multinational Imperial Tobacco who has owned the company since 2008.
Skruf snus variants
Since its launch with only one variant in 2003, Skruf is now available in many popular flavours such as fresh mint and elderberry. Skruf only uses Brazilian organic tobacco and most of their product variants are in the slim pouch which is why it has become very popular. Skruf comes in different sizes, flavours, and strengths. Loose snus is a classic traditional variant based on the 19-century snus version. Skruf loose strong has hints of rose oil and bergamot and is stronger than most other snus versions with higher nicotine content. The big variety that Skruf offers ensures that there is something for every snus lover.
